Earth AUs, of course. Rewind to the end of their date night

All around the world, you could feel the tension building. Everybody, everywhere seemed to be on edge, with the worsening events. Monsters, aliens, and the threat of an oncoming war looming on the horizon. It was on everybody's mind.

... Well, almost everybody's. For now, one Raye Satterfield's attention was focused somewhere else entirely, far away from thoughts of war and chaos. For the moment, her attention was entirely focused on the girl in her arms as she pressed her lips to hers. The whole night had gone spectacularly, a pretty good movie, a nice dinner afterwards and some time spent taking in the sights and sounds of the night to end up here, in the empty hallway in front of her apartment door when she'd made her move, grabbing Rakka suddenly and kissing her.

Not bad for a first "official" date.

After a few moments, she drew back with a small, quiet breath, looking down at the shorter girl with a small smirk on her face.

"So... feel like staying over tonight?" It was half in jest. At this point, the answer should probably be fairly obvious.
